Beginning April 4, 2014, Community Lifeline TV will be $24.99*per month and Expanded Basic will be $60.99*per month, and Expanded Plus will be $69.99*, and HBO will be $17.32*. Our last rate increase was in June 2012, and the one prior to that was in January 2009. 

With this rate increase we are still below our competitors, and we do not require a contract. The new rate will show on your April bill.

Rates are increased by all content providers (channels) every year.  One way we can keep rates down is to attempt to reduce the number of channels we offer; but as more and more content channels are owned by one company, they require that we carry all the channels they own- just to get the one you want to watch. 

No one likes a rate increase but I hope that you appreciated how hard the AHN team worked to upgrade our system over the last couple of years; investing in new digital upgrades, more HD, more and better quality HBO, DVRs and Set Top Boxes with the onscreen guide, and the PAC-12 network as well as streaming TV channels. This year we are continuing our investment in upgrading the system by adding more HD (including ESPN), Showtime and more streaming channels. 

We will always look for ways to offer you the channels you desire and keep the overall TV rates as low as possible. We appreciate your business and your continued support for a locally-owned and operated company. We know we are incredibly small and that our competition are public, billion dollar companies, but we are committed to delivering the best quality product we can. There is something very satisfying about being able to compete against them and we appreciate your commitment to buying local.

We can’t promise that we won’t move to an annual rate increase model some day - as the whole industry has already - but I’m trying very hard to keep television affordable. One way to do that is to grow. Help keep your rates as low as possible by recommending us to your friends. Encourage them to buy local. We all know it’s the right thing to do and best for the local economy.

That being said, we are also working hard to make the Internet faster, so we can offer more cost effective ways to provide television programming to you. (More on that soon)
